About Joseph and Pat
About Joseph Muchina Mwangi

I was born in Kangemi, Nairobi, Kenya
in 1973. I am a full time artist. I developed
a love for art at an early age while
attending primary school.

The late Mage indulged my creativity and
gave me the basics of art in Kangemi
Gishagi in 1998. Later I read books on
Monet, Van Gogh, Mattisse and Dali all of
whom have been a great inspiration.

I started painting seriously in the year
2000 using both oil and acrylic. Other than brushes, I use the pallet knife for rough
texture finishing.

Since then, I have grown to become an international artist. My art has been sold in
Africa, Europe, England, United States and Canada. In 2005, I was exhibited in the
Perth Gallery in Scotland.

In Kenya, my work is exhibited at the Nairobi National Museum, Ramoma Art Gallery,
Village Market, Museum of Kenya Art Gallery and the American Embassy in Kenya.

Most recently, I exhibited at the AGOA forum in Nairobi presided over by Mrs.Hillary
Clinton, United States Secretary of State.

Furthermore, I have been featured as a prominent Kenyan artist on Citizen TV, KTN TV,
and KBC NATIONAL TV in Kenya. In Scotland,I was featured in the 3 leading
newspapers; The Courier,The Evening Telegraph and the Dudee on July 20, 2005.

My work is highly popular with art lovers, tourists and visitors in Kenya. I work with
standard sizes but invite you to request any size to suit your needs.
