1. You are in a tough, highly price competitive industry. If you suspect you're going to lose a client, offer the restaurant/hotel a deal where they
can pay you all (or a portion) of their bill using their own services (e.g. food or room bartering). Take the barter credits and use it for your own
self, your own staff (as bonuses), or barter triangulate with a local TV station, radio station or newspaper for advertising airtime or space.
Explain clearly to your buyer how much they will save. If you can get a media outlet to agree ahead of time, so much the better. You can even
turn this into a profit center and hire someone to set up the deals for you.
