1. Once you become familiar with some of the concepts of basic marketing, you can approach potential clients with questions such as "What is
your USP
?" They will likely say, "Huh?"  Then you say, "What position do you take so that your customers would be foolish not to do business
with you
?" They will still likely be confused, so you help them with the answer. By positioning yourself as the authority, you gain their respect, and
you are much more like to get them as a client. This is a win-win for both of you. Another question you can ask is, "
What is your typical client
worth to you
?" Then help them see how you can help them. Asking powerful questions that people should be asking is a way to prove yourself as
the expert and you will gain their respect and their business.

2. When going after new accounts, include a risk-reversal which tells people that they can request a refund if they are not happy with their results.
However, include a qualifier that it must be a direct response advertisement (see the Laser Marketing for advice in this area) so that they can
track the results, and that you will help them create the ad. This should lead to further business as they request your help more often.
